The Maharashtra Jyotirlinga consist of five sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, known as 5 Jyotirlinga's and all together called as Panch Jyotirlingas. Trimbakeshwar is an ancient temple situated at bank of holy river Godavari, the second largest river in india. Houses one of twelve jyotirlinga dedicated to lord Shiva. temple is located in trimbakeshwar tehsil, near pune, in maharashtra. 29km from Nashik, 39km from Nashik road railway station and approx 180km from Mumbai.

Tryambakeshwar shrine is surrounded by three mountain- Brahmagiri nilagiri and kalagiri. The Swayambhu Jyotirling here has three lingas, symbolises three face of lord Shiva, representing Bhramha, Vishnu and Maheshwara (Shiva).
